If you have any questions, at any time, please reach out to us at tisdbond@thorndale.txed.net we will be answering emails as they come in and use questions you ask to expand our frequently asked questions section on our website. You can also reach us at 512-898-2538.

TISD Focuses on College AND Career Readiness:

At Thorndale High School, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for students to learn and explore what life has to offer in both college and career opportunities.

Recently, our high school students got the chance to sign up and travel to The Salon Professionals Academy in Georgetown to experience a day in the life of a salon professional. Our students enjoyed working closely with those who will be soon graduating from the program.

On February 28th, high school students will have the opportunity to travel to Taylor for the official Trades Day event. This event is a joint partnership between Samsung, Craftsman Center, and workforce solution. Is it another great opportunity for our students to learn about jobs, right here in our area!

3rd TISD Community Involvement Meeting:

Thank you to the devoted community members who attended our 3rd of four TISD community involvement meetings and got to tour our high school campus and see our kids in action!

Wondering When Your Favorite Thorndale Team Competes?:

Important Dates & TISD Calendar Update:

The 2023-2024 District Calendar has a mistake on the date of Graduation. Due to many questions - Prom will be held on May 11th and Graduation is on Friday, May 24 in Thorndale.

We apologize for the confusion this caused and the corrected District calendar will be updated on the district website.

TISD Student Shout Outs:

If you are not able to keep up with us on Facebook, I would hate for you to miss out on all the celebrations! I can’t possibly capture them all in my Blog that comes out every two weeks, but let me give you a glimpse of just a sliver of the excellence here in TISD:

The Boys Basketball Team wins and becomes Area Champs!

The boys beat a tough Mumford team on 2/22/24 in a packed gym in Giddings. They will play against the winner of Hearne vs.Sabine Pass next week in the Regional Quarterfinals.

Also, since the last Superintendent’s Blog, senior Kaden Kovar scored his 1,000th career point! That is a huge accomplishment and he continues to add to that total as we travel through the playoffs.
